Special brushes are manufactured to restore eel migration ways. They can be used to create crawling gutters on dams to restore upstream migration of eels, elvers and glass eels.
Different kinds of eel substrate could be used, depending on the eel length.
Installation :
Usually, Eel substratum covers a slope with a double dip:
– Side dip: from 10 to 45 ° (maximum) Width will be adapted to water level fluctuation.
– Longitudinal dip: up to 45° (maximum). Length of the gutter is adapted to the difference in level.
Length of equipment is adapted to the dam.
The plates are pre-drilled. They can be made to your dimensions. They will be bolted or pinned on the ramp double dip. When fixing, it is necessary to leave an expansion space between the plates of 8mm with a silicone gasket. It’s a standard part, we can easily change it.
